japanese characters in IPTC - Description: Garbled

Hi,

In other fields the japanese works fine (eg Keywords, Location), but when I enter japanese into the Description field I just get ???? in eg iPhoto, Preview, etc

I think this is a bug in Capture one. Does anyone else has this problem. Eg with Umlauts and other special characters?
