Save to a memory card while tethered

Is it possible to save to a memory card while tethering with a Canon 5D mkiii? I seem to remember a workaround for this but I can’t find it anywhere. Has it been implemented in the newer version of C1?

  I seem to recall Canon software allowing for tethering & saving to card simultaneously, if that is the case you could use Canon software for tethering then setup Capture One to work using a Hot Folder.
  
  Capture One by itself can not tether & allow images to be saved to card.
