Capture One 4.8 Freezing
Hi
I am using Capture One 4.8 and it is randomly freezing when I process raw files. This was happening in previous version too. Has anyone got any suggestions at what I can look at to try and solve this?
Cheers
Rich

Same problem here. I'm using 4.8 pro on Win XP pro and 5dm2. I find it freezes periodically when trying to view images at full size. I've also run into problems when attempting to do CA correction. The solution I've found to that problem is to first view the image at full magnification (provided it doesn't freeze at that) and then analyze for correction. Also, when copying and applying Adjustments, copy without the CA correction. If the CA is copied from another image, make sure to uncheck it for the new image, before you reanalyze it.
Not sure if this will help with your freezing, but it's a workaround that might be beneficial for some forms of freezing; it is an annoying problem though.0 -
I don't see this as a characteristic of my install of 4.8.....and I installed it over a prior freash install of 4.7.
At one point in the development of V4 (and I can't remmeber the specific upgrade, sorry), release notes indicated a deletion of the orior version. I noted at the time that many problems related to installing over the prior version as was customary with 3.x and prior.
Don't know if that's specifically a solution for you, and I'm a user rather than support...but perhaps review your upgrade path and how they were done. Hope that helps...0 -

Have you cleared the process history?0 -
Hi
I cleared the process history last night which so far seems to have solved the problem. Many thanks for your help.
