presumably when you first fired up Capture One after installation you were presented with some options about which mode you wanted to set for the trial.

What did you choose at that point?

    ETA:

    Feature Comparison.

    https://www.captureone.com/en/features/feature-list

If you select DB mode Capture One will only work woith RAW files form Phase product family Digital Backs.

If you select a "For Sony" mode only supported Sony RAW files are editable.

If you select a "For Fuji" mode only supported Fuji RAW files are editable.

The full Pro mode supports all supported RAW file types.

Thanks for that, how can I change this once it's installed?

If you are trialling it would normally ask you every time UNLESS you opted for one of the free modes at first use.

In which case it will be activated for that mode.

To manage that go into your user account on the phase web site (the one you will have set up when downloading the software) and that will give you access to manage the activation. De-activate the "free" one and you should be able to restart the trial software and select again for the mode when you start the software.

The Support Pages and the FAQs are, these days, a good place to go for such information.
