Unable to Open files

When I try to open an image,the mouse pointer gets smaller,and will not allow me to open the images.
I uninstalled/reinstalled the Capture One software ,but this does not help,problem still persists.
I am on a windows7 PC.

Any help/advise would be greatly appreciated

  Can you post a screenshot so that we know exactly what you are seeing?

  Got the problem fixed
  The issue was caused by USER ERROR!!!
  
  I apologize for the mistake,and will read the help menu more closely..
