How strange, just checked having set my X-Pro2 to USB card reader mode and indeed Capture One does not see camera but on the other hand Lightroom quite happily imports from the camera.
Windows explorer sees the card in the camera so you can drag and drop the files from the card to the final location in the computer and then import into Capture One but this seems a convoluted work around.

    Very strange 😊

When importing via LR (from USB) or via C1 (from cardreader), folders with the date are automatically created; if I import to computer I have to make these folders, or import to one folder with all photos. I like the folders with dates, but if I create them manually, my computer does not detect that photos have been imported before, so it imports all photos from the SD card every time. Very annoying.

I really hope fuji cameras will be supported for USB download soon, it is strange as this software I bought is specifically for Fuji cameras.

Do you know if I can import the files via Lightroom, or if this will change the RAW files somehow?

    Hi,

When I transfer photos from my X-T3, I cannot do it by USB in C1. I have to put the SD card in the cardreader. It would be so much easier to do it by USB, byt then my camera does not appear in the drop down menu in import.

Capture One cannot download images on a memory card in a camera. A card reader works nicely, but the camera will not act as a card reader for Capture One. If you can't see the images in Finder, you can't import them directly into Capture One.

You can use a card reader or import it into Capture One or use Image Capture to download from the card in the camera to a location in Finder. Unlike Windows Explorer, Finder cannot see the card in the camera.

Maybe in the future, Capture One will learn how to emulate Image Capture

But that is the strange thing: My computer detects the camera just fine, it is only in C1 it does not. Also, I can se from C1 tutorials online, that the camera should be shown in the dropdown menu when connected via USB.

You say your computer detects the camera. That is how it can use Image Capture to see the card files in the camera. Are you saying that when you connect the camera via USB, you can see the camera card files in Finder?

When I connect via USB I see the files in image capture. But in C1 it does not appear. When I use the card reader, they are both detected in IC and C1.

I have contacted C1 and they are helping me now, hope to solve this!

OK, now I got a reply from C1: Connecting camera via USB to computer, you cannot transfer the photos via C1. This is not something they will change. So you either have to remove the card from the camera and use a card reader, or connect via USB and using another program than C1, eg Image capture, to transfer the photos.

I will probably do the latter, even though this means I cannot use the functionality of C1 creating the dated folders. But to have to remove both cards every time I want to transfer photos is not a smooth workflow for me.

This is normal behavior. C1 can directly import anything you can see in Finder, but not what you see using Image Capture.

I just didn't know 😊 I come from Lightroom, where Lightroom detects my camera (X-T3) with no problem. I will just have to change how I do this, and that is annoying, but surely I will get used to it eventually.
