virus detected in latest version

Launching Capture One 12.1.1.19 causes Windows Defender to detect a SEVERE virus threat. I just downloaded this app directly from your web site and don't see any reports of this. Has your site been compromised or is this a false positive?

    Hmmm.
    I am running build 12.1.0.106 . When I check for updates, it doesn't report any.

    Are you running any other virus software
    I'd suggest that you download and run the free Malwarebytes program.

    It is possibly the best one out there.

    I also have this problem, windows thinks something about C1 is a trojan. It has a .js extension so perhaps it is some kind of javascript file. Not sure if this is windows being overprotective or if their latest installer is bugged.

    Post the link to the web site where you downloaded it as on the Web searching for that version doesn't bring up captureone or phaseone websites

    I downloaded the official version via https://www.captureone.com/en/download/pro-fujifilm

    The downloaded installer's digital signature looks valid, is issued to "Phase One A/S" and uses CA GlobalSign.

    I also use Malwarebytes but Defender already quarantined the trojan and a complete Malwarebytes scan did not detect anything.
