Executable 'Script'

Is it possible to have scripts in executable format (exe/dll) rather than as vbs files? If so do they need to go into a special folder or do they need to be registered with the application somehow?

  I'm not a developer so i can not give answer in detail. Hope someone else can?
  
  However, i do not think this is possible with EM2 or MP1. When it's about changing metadata (unattended/bulk) you could take a look at ExifTool and it's GUI
