Location, location, location ...
Having just spent a couple of hours individually (re)locating just under a couple of hundred images in a catalogue that I had thoughtlessly moved to another folder in Media Pro, I wondered whether there was a faster, more efficient way to do a bulk location. This is an area where Aperture is quite strong, for example. Finding each image and resetting the path seems a rather time intensive way of doing this. It would be nice to point to a folder and in effect say 'go get 'em'. Or have I missed a simpler way of doing this?

If the folder structure is the same, with the same name just in a different location, you can certainly simply "Locate" the parent folder.
If the name of one folder is different, you can only "Locate" the parent folder that holds the RAW file and not the entire tree value.
Once the names of the files change, the process is arduous to the point of impossible and a reimport is a much more efficient solution.0 -

Thanks. Unfortunately the images came from two separate folders and were consolidated into a single folder. I hadn't thought about a reimport? Would that have lost the adjustments that I had already made?
Anyway, workflow lesson learned.
