Not sure what (the cause of) your problem is nor the cure due to missing all the essential parameters in your post. I suggest you mention:
    - what DNG (original from camera or converted)
    - what camera (input) profile
    - what output profile
    - how you view your output file (JPEG)
    - version of CO4
    - version Windows
    - details on monitor calibration if any
Note: I suspect a color management problem. Sounds like you output to AdobeRGB or other wide-gamut profile and view in a non-color (sRGB thinking) viewer in Windows XP.

Thanks Paul. but i try every effort with no result. further my computer works slower with capture 4 especially open a jpeg file. once i uninstall the capture 4 . the computer works with normal speed again. i think LE vesion is better for me. Just wonder when will fix the bug problem! i have lots of DNG files wait for developing!

Still not clear what bug you are referring to and which version of CO4 you tested.

Hi, thanks for the update. So you open a DNG in 4.8.3 and it looks very saturated. Then you process it to JPEG and you view the JPEG file (how?) and it looks less saturated. Do I understand you properly? Can you tell us more about the DNG (from which camera model?).

yes, the raw file is very saturated and high contrast which is not a normal picture. I use Leica M8 and set the ICC profile but just become more saturated and high contrast. How can i post photo on this forum . may be it's much easier to understand with a photo. I use window XP. Thanks!

You can post a photo here when you have the image available on a web site and accessible through a URL. You can past the link here within IMG quotes. Other option is you send one or more files to a file transfer service like yousendit.com and publish the link here.

Pasting a print screen (or more while you started anyway to show the differences) into a Word doc is great. I do not want to scare you off but why not try to send with a transfer service at least once. Will help you in the future. I already mentioned YouSendIt (http://www.yousendit.com/) and send it to yourself. After upload you get a mail with a link. Post that link here. It's fun to do and you discover something new! No mail address are exposed here.

[This kind of services is great for sending larger files, to large for mail for example, to one or more recipients over the Internet]

i find out when i open a raw file and the jpeg at the broswer. The weird colour is the same with the same raw file and jpeg. white colour turn sharp blue, skin colour turn sharp yellow. like an alien. Even open a jpeg file in the software is the same outcome. it's not about setting the ICC. So what does this imply? I hope the LE 3.x can fix as soon as possible.

Change your Default Monitor Profile to something a bit more universal as a test. I suggest Adobe 1998. Any difference in appearance? Your details are still spotty so it's hard to suggest any fix.

Here' s the two files .

    https://rcpt.yousendit.com/801761726/51 ... aa7a4d9c9a

this link shows the file open by capture 4 which i mentioned the unnatural colour problem.

this link shows the same file opened by LE3.7.5 which shows the normal situation.

another question. When i convert dng files from my folders. after that there will be a capture one folder created. there are two folders 'cache' and 'setting 45' inside the capture one folder. This situation doesn't happen on LE 3.7.5 . What's this folder for? Can i delete them? As it use lots of space. Thanks!

In the CaptureOne subfolder the cache folder contains the previews. You can delete them when you have processed your DNG files. The previews will be re-generated when you the folder again. The Settings45 folder contains your adjustments. Deleting them deletes your work in CO4.
CO3.x has the same type of files but in a central location which is less visible resulting in eating up disk space without you knowing. You can clean up the preview cache from CO3's preferences.
Note that the previews of CO4 are much smaller in size that CO3's previews (1 MB versus 3.3 MB for your M8 DNG file).

Congratulations you have been able to send some files with the yousendit tool. I have looked into it. It indeed looks like a color management problems as I suggested initially. I can see that you (probably unintentionally) changed a lot about CO3 color management settings. However, I do not yet understand why CO4 is not presenting the preview correctly.

The blind spot in your case is your monitor profile. I do not have a WinXP system running here currently but I believe the Display properties, Advanced, Color Management is the direction to look at it.

I do agree it's a colour management problem. U are right it's the problem of present the preview correctly! The situation is i can fix it on LE3.7.5 but cannot on CO4. So why this important function cannot find on the new version? Thanks Paul!

Try to look at your monitor profile. Let us know if you need help for that. I suspect - that if it is the monitor profile - CO4 is handling it differently than CO3. Best default monitor profile is sRGB for Windows.

I have set the monitor to sRGB but no difference from the preview. I use Canon DPP software but have no problem at all. In this case, is it about the monitor setting?
