C1Pro + 2 live views + overlay
Hi,
I'm hoping that C1Pro can do this but I'm not holding out and thought if it can't perhaps someone would know of software that would.
I've setup a photomicroscopy station with two microscopes and I'm looking for the capability to work with 2 Canon 7Ds in live view and having one of those live views overlayed on top of the other at 50% opacity or whatever. Make sense? Both slides are essentially the same just displaying different data and when you're zoomed in at 10/40/100x you need to be able to have those slides line up pretty close within a millimeter if not a few micrometers. Even 2 live views side by side would be a start but being able to overlay them would be the best. Any ideas?
THANK YOU

I am afraid Capture One 6 won't be able to achieve what you're after. First, CO Pro can only tether to one USB connected camera at one time, second, there is no live view for DSLR in CO6 (only Phase One and Leaf backs).
I do not have an alternative, I am sorry, maybe someone else has.0 -
I think you may struggle with the Live View overlay unless there are others out there with a similar requirement who may have produced or adapted something. You may have more luck with Video overlays - perhaps connected to the 3D imaging industry.
I don't think this will give what you want but contact with the supplier might offer some pointers in which direction to look.

This is a program for Multi Camera control via a PC (or several if you have a lot of cameras to manage.)
Full control and synchronised shooting but, as far as I can tell, no simultaneous dual image display or overlay.
HTH a little.

.... which is excellent of course ... but for 2 cameras as per the original question?0 -
2 Cameras of different communication protocols, sure.
Currently there is no way to determine which is USB camera 1 and which is USB camera 2.0
