Cannot connect to capture server

Odds are there is a program on the one machine that is causing this, the same program NOT being present on the Laptop.
Create a support case and provide us with a System Profile. We'll sift through it and try to point out some likely culprits causing this. Typically they're applications that claim to "clean" or "protect" your system.

Did you find the application that was at fault?

    The most common is MacKeeper.

A dramatic solution! Is there any other work around.I've been using MacKeeper and Capture One for years, so something

Below is just one persons opinion.
    https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3036

However, it seems to be repeated whenever a search for MacKeeper is done. My suggestion would be to remove it as I think it does more harm than good.
If you'd like to keep MacKeeper then I would suggest you contact them to ask why it is their Application inhibits the operation of another.

OK I have uninstalled MacKeeper and I still get the same message Cannot connect to server…
Do I need to reinstall a copy of Capture One? or do anything else!
    Thank you for your help.

Maybe MacKeeper is not removed entirely yet. There are a lot of discussions going on on the web, like this one:
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3877254

Hope this helps, and reinstalling CO7 is never going to hurt you either. Hope this helps.

So I deleted Version 7.2.3 and went back to 7.2.2.

    Everything is back to normal.

So why is it something on my computer?

Hard to say what the specific issue of your machine is without details 😉
