Just to add I also ran an sfc /scannow in command prompt as I had read this could sort some problems out, but it was no help.

Create a Support Case so that the Support team can look into it for you.

I assume you have tried the usual things like rebooting the system a couple of times - stuff like that.

Which release did you download? If not 8.3.4 released today then I would try that too.

Install in a new directory first with a different name to anything previously and see what happens.

If that fails delete everything C1 related and try again.

But if all fails create that Support Case let the Phase people make an assessment of the Log File(s) they may well ask for.

    HTH.

What exactly is in the import that causes the crash?

If exotic (layered or exports from other apps) try excluding this from the scenario.

Hi Guys, thanks for your replies.

I've tried a few different file types (namely .CR2, .ORF and .JPG) and it crashes with any of them. Pretty standard stuff I'd say, and I've tried importing them individually but no joy.
Like I saw though it crashes there, but even when I've got a single image in the collection and try to open that it crashes (so it's not just an import issue).

I have tried 8.3.4, after uninstalling the old one and even tried it to a different directory instead of the default one, but it is no better.
