Can't trial Capture One due to error crashes.
Hey guys,
I'm eager to give Capture One a go, but it constantly crashes before I can get anything done.
The furthest I've gotten to is importing a few images before it throws up a window listing two errors, then it crashes.
If I start Capture One again and open the collection it has a single picture imported in to it, but then I try open this image up to edit the software crashes again.
The errors are
"OMP: Error #134: Cannot set thread affinity mask.
OMP: System error #87: The parameter is incorrect."
I'm on Windows 10 64-bit, with an NVidia GTX 780m. I've tried turning OpenCL off, as well as switching to only use the integrated Intel graphics chip, but those didn't help. I have also tried 3 different version of Capture One, but again there's no difference.
Does anybody have an ideas what the issue could be and how to fix it?

Just to add I also ran an sfc /scannow in command prompt as I had read this could sort some problems out, but it was no help. 0 -
Create a Support Case so that the Support team can look into it for you.
I assume you have tried the usual things like rebooting the system a couple of times - stuff like that.
Which release did you download? If not 8.3.4 released today then I would try that too.
Install in a new directory first with a different name to anything previously and see what happens.
If that fails delete everything C1 related and try again.
But if all fails create that Support Case let the Phase people make an assessment of the Log File(s) they may well ask for.
HTH.

What exactly is in the import that causes the crash?
If exotic (layered or exports from other apps) try excluding this from the scenario.0 -
Hi Guys, thanks for your replies.
I've tried a few different file types (namely .CR2, .ORF and .JPG) and it crashes with any of them. Pretty standard stuff I'd say, and I've tried importing them individually but no joy.
Like I saw though it crashes there, but even when I've got a single image in the collection and try to open that it crashes (so it's not just an import issue).
I have tried 8.3.4, after uninstalling the old one and even tried it to a different directory instead of the default one, but it is no better.0
