This is most likely related to your lens correction settings. Uncheck hide distorted areas and see if that does anything for you.

I have the same problem, but only on one session. I cannot clear a crop. Even if I drag the sides of the crop out to the edges of the image, the "crop dimensions" are shown in the preview. Unchecking "Hide Distorted Areas" in the Lens Correction Tool Tab makes no difference (to the crop). If I make a tighter crop, and then click outside of it, it reverts to the original, less tight crop, which I did not actually make to begin with. The revert button in the Crop Tool Tab does not clear the crop. Really frustrating.

    As with William1011:

Os 10.9.2 (also had the problem with 10.9.1)
    C1pro 7.2
    Canon 5d Mk II

    Shooting with CF Card

When automatic lens correction is active, which is the default, you can see a cropped image, depending on the lens, zoom setting, aperture.

If you like to have the entire image without lens correction crop, select the Generic lens profile. This will also move the Distortion slide to 0 (zero). You can make a preset of the setting and have it at hand whenever you need it. Presets are applied on all selected images.

If you never want lens correction to work automatically on opening new images, you can disable the feature from the tool's action menu.
