Making contact sheets
Some old school clients still have the need of PAPER contact sheets! I now process Quickproof Jpegs and make contact sheets in Photoshop.
Am I missing something here? Is there a way to make contact sheets in C1, from RAW? Scripts, plugins, something, other software? I am talking over 1000 images here.

artdiablo,
There are great improvements in this ability in upcoming version 4.0 to be more alike the Windows version capabilities.
For now, yes you can do this, See Knowledge Base article:

Keith,
I had already explored the "Export Image Index" and I find it very unlike anything Phase One normally develops: it makes a sad HTML document, it allows for no custom anything, it is slow.....CR1 would be even better without it. How could I print from it if the images are 300kb?
When I ask about making contact sheets, I mean a high quality one, where I can choose number of rows and columns, title, font, etc.
Does V4 bring any of this improvements?
thanks

If you are not happy with the quick proof or html for your contact. Which is designed for quick " on the fly " contacts via special alogorithm.
Use the tools in Capture One to set up the parameters of your hard copy contact sheet. jpeg-low , med, high etc,, customize your crop , pick your resolution etc... you get the picture. /process and open in photoshopprint- action !!
The current version of Mac software also has watermark capabilities.
😊
Kind regards-
