Canon users
Why are Canon users,{ the most popular brand on the planet} being financially penalised for using this platform? I for one will not be using this after my trial period ends and will go elsewhere, even if i have to go back to L/R.

If you mean why is there a dedicated Nikon version but no dedicated Canon version, then there are two comments I'd make.
(1) The Nikon version has only just been introduced, and who knows, maybe a Canon version is in the pipeline too? Capture One are unlikely to announce it in advance if there is.
(2) I imagine that it requires collaboration between Capture One and the respective camera manufacturer. If so, why not also tell Canon that you would like them to collaborate with Capture One on a dedicated Canon version. Perhaps the hold-up is at their end?

Ian Wilson has provided the full answer to the question.
May I just ask whether you (OP) are an existing FirstName Lastname who has been around a while and might therefore have seen a previous post on the same subject?
Or are you a new version of Firstname Lastname? I get the impression there are more than one of you?

Thanks Ian
Firstly, as i mentioned it's a monetary complaint only. Why are Canon users being asked to pay more than Fuji,Nikon and the likes..what i call the lesser brands...absolute crap, in my opinion. I have recently left the conglomerate of Adobe {after 12 years} because of their monthly fees which are increasing far too regularly, hence my search for another OS. And to be fair i think Capture One isn't too far behind Adobe price wise.So i will continue searching, thanks.

Yes, I understand that it was a monetary complaint. I've tried to explain reasons why.
