Oof. Major crashing in CO 9.3 on OSX 10.10.5

I keep getting corrupt database issues simply moving files around, i.e. filtering all green tags with two stars from the Capture folder and moving to the Selects folder. CO hangs on the last, say, 7 of 280 images, and crashes.

Once relaunched I'm placed into the Capture folder, with all my images listed as "corrupt", with the exclamation icon replacing thumbnails for all but the 7 images that never transferred over.

I have already tried trashing the session and creating a new session. Fixes the issue temporarily. I have around 66gb free on my drive, and I'm moving perhaps 11gb. It's a 2015 rMBP with 16gb of RAM, SSD, 3gb VRAM.

I have been noticing issues/bugs overall with 9 and really want to like it if just for the new processing engine and live view tools alone, but I can't get around basic issues that never happen in 8.3.4. I'm getting beachballed just adding and/or touching certain tools (e.g. Vignette).
