Any way to improve editing performance?
Hello, I know my computer is not the fastest one but some operations take excessively lot of time for comforatable editing. Whenever I move with almost any slider (for example exposure, shadows, white balance) it takes about 1-2 seconds to process changes, what is really annoying, especially for fine tunning of images.
I have laptop with i5 processsor, 8GB RAM, NVIDIA NVS 4200M with Win7 and using C1 9.1.1 in trial version. I tried to turn on/off OpenCL, tried some different sizes of previews. I think processing is little faster with OpenCL but not fast enough for me.
To compare, editing in Lightroom 6 is much faster, any changes are almost instant, usually below 200ms I guess.
Is there anything I can do to improve performance of C1? Or I just need a better hardware? Thank you for your answers!

I think it may just be the program.....I'm running an i7 with 32gb RAM and mine lags as well 0 -
i use an i5 2500K and changes are live.. 0 -
I use an I5 with 16gb of RAM and changes were in real time up until about a week ago, when suddenly it started taking a couple of seconds to render every time I moved a slider. I tried reducing the size of my previews, but it didn't help. Nothing significant changed with my system in that time, and updating to the newest release of C1 had no effect. 0 -
NNN...691,
same camera model? Did you try adjusting an older image from the time C1 was fast?
Did you change hardware acceleration in the preferences?
btw, if the preview size is less than the resolution of the viewer window than each time something changes the raw file will be converted again in other words the preview file is rather useless, set it to the smalles number greater than the viewer width and height or to the screen resolution.
Cheers
