Plan for lens corrections in new version of Capture One PRO?
Was wondering if there will be any support for lens correction in the new version of Capture One PRO. I need the lens give me the same quality Im getting from my 4x5 lens (whether naturally or through processing) to be as effective and portable as I'd prefer. I could get 3-4 times more work done if the back worked as effectively on the Mamiya as the 4x5. And this is mostly due to lens falloff and other aberrations.
Ive asked this question in the past:
"How would one go about eliminating the lens falloff when using the P45 w/ the Mamiya 645AFD and an 80mm lens? Have others had this same difficulty? Have shooters had better success with other lenses? or cameras (Hasselblad)? Im shooting flat art."
And had one decent response. But witht the technology available now it seems like this could be done more with software enhancements than with manual steps through Photoshop.
Please let me know your thoughts or plans.

Hi Mike-
Just to let you know:
Lens tools are planned and under development for the 4.0 PRO version,
We do not have specifics on these tools yet.
Your question for the lens fall off should be left open for other users to comment
on.
Kind Regards-

That sounds great. It would be nice if Phase One goes beyond what Adobe and others are doing. Having control over the type of selection tools, radiuses, control of the shape of the radius, etc. Ive even been reading about calibrations for specific cameras and lenses, such as a Mamiya with an 80mm lens. Being able to eliminate the lens characteristics from the image would be a great feature, especially for photographing flat artwork. 0
