VERY slow to exit, Saving .......

Recently imported my Lightroom catalogue, 10,000 images.
Previews all generated.

When I close Capture One Pro it shows a box saying "Saving" then does something for about 10 minutes (yes, 10 minutes) before finally closing. It does this every time.

What's wrong and how do I make it close quickly?

  I had the same, this is what support advised and it worked:
  
  Please perform a clean uninstall of all versions of CO including the most recent 10 installation. Then reinstall only CO10.

  Hmm, thanks ... a big improvement.
  
  Seems to be related to Auto Sync XMP sidecard file
