Output Naming

Is there a way to disable output naming on the process tab? If I am opening into CS3 I don't always want a file created prior to final saving from photoshop.

  Short answer: no.
  CO always outputs to a file and regarding the file name and format you have some options.
  I know of one raw converter (Canon's DPP) that has to option to transfer output to Photoshop without saving (at least not visible to the user), creating a new file in PS. Not CO as far as I know.

  Thanks Paul. I thought that might be the case. ACR allows you to process the file without also generating a copy but I like the output of CO better. Hey Phase One - go ahead and add this to the feature request list.
