Black and White taken in .RAW FORMAT
Hey All!
I'm new to the program and my camera, pardon if these questions are obnoxiously newb 😉
When I upload B&W pics taken in raw format to CO4 they are reverted to color. Is there a setting default that I need to change so I can have the same gorgeous, quality B&W resolution that I see in my LeicaDLUX4 view screen?
Also, how do I keep from losing photo quality/resolution when converting from RAW format pictures? I'm trying to share with friends that don't have RAW supported software or sites like Flikr and Facebook. Is there a better format than .jpeg that are supported by these platforms?
Thanks so much,
Chase

what you see as a B&W picture "in my LeicaDLUX4 view screen" is just a JPG thumbnail generated (and stored inside raw files) by in-camera (firmware) raw converter...0 -

Correct and to add a general remark: raw is not color not B&W or grayscale or whatever. It is raw. And it allows you to convert it into virtually any type of image file (RGB, CMYK, grayscale), file format (TIFF, JPEG, ...) and color space (sRGB, AdobeRGB, ...), applying any kind of adjustment thinkable.
Do you get the picture? 😄0
