backup/synch to second source

Hi, new to CO8 from Lightroom. One thing that i liked about Lightroom is that images were also captured to the CF card basically creating a backup in case of drive failure during a tethered session. I suspect that is also what makes Lightroom so slow, unlike CO8.

My question is does anyone have a workflow or synch program to suggest if I want to set my session capture folder to an external drive (or even my local hard drive) and then also be double backing up to a second drive in case of a drive failure while shooting? I use a mac.
