Are lens profiles automatically applied?

I am trialling out Capture One for the first time so many things are new to me. My camera and lenses are profiled as far as I can see (Nikon D800, NIkkor wide angle and long telephoto and Sigma medium telephoto). The information accurately shows the Exif data which includes the lens. The lens correction module automatically selects Generic and Recommended is greyed-out. I can manually select my lens (and the image preview changes characteristic) but is there a setting to get it to do that automatically?

  Let support know that there is an issue with picking up the correct Sigma lens with the D800, then they can fix it.

  I have it sussed, I think.
  
  A Nikon lens (16-35mm F4) on a Nikon camera (D800) is found. A Sigma lens on a Nikon camera is not. The Sigma is listed as xxx (Canon ...) so I guess this is why a Nikon can't find it.
  
  I also run Olympus M43 and use both Oly and Panasonic lenses so I might have the same problem there.
  
  My current software (ON1) exhibited the same characteristic up to v2019 but they appear to have solved it in v2020 (though I have been having horrendous problems with 2020; I have uninstalled it and am looking for an alternative - hence my trial of Capture One - which is fab, but I would need to go into a dark room before spending GBP300).
  
  I have raised a ticket describing my findings. My LR version (the last perpetual licence version) manages, as does DXO (also being trialled).
  
  My workaround for ON1 (to add each camera/lens combination to a favourite which was presented as a drop-down) appears to work here but as a preset. I have only 6/7 combinations so having found each one once, it was/will be a short list to select from. It worked very well.
