Reference catalog and folder structure?
Hi,
I'm trialing Capture One v10 to see if it'll work in my workflow. I imported my "G" drive leaving all photos in their current location (I believe this is called a reference catalog?)
I have my G drive setup like this:
So each day's photos goes into the respective day. This setup also works for me because in "other" catalog software, if I select the top level folder of the shoot, I can get a broad view of the entire set of images.
However, when I import this folder structure into Capture One I get a long list of all the subfolders.
yyyy-mm-dd
yyyy-mm-dd
yyyy-mm-dd
yyyy-mm-dd
Without any real indication what shoot they belong to. So basically I lose all of my folder structure.
Is there a way to bring the structure back? Am I missing something simple?
Thanks in advance for any help!

Possibly no help here because in years of using C1 I've never gone into Catalog but I'm using Session which allows me simple use of my file organization in folder with structure similar to yours, all starting with YYYYMMDD added by a short worded identification of the shooting event/occasion. 0 -

Sure, click on the three dots to the right of the Library panel and select "Show Folders Hierarchy"0 -
