Ability to add tif/jpg file as a variant of the RAW file it was processed from

When I edit a RAW file in an external editor like Affinity/Photoshop, the saved file is saved as a new file rather than as a variant of the RAW file from which this file resulted. Having this ability will help group all the various versions (that were given to customers) that resulted out of the single RAW file.
