unable to edit certain files in C1

Permanently deleted user

I have files that are not editable in C1  They are tif in RGB color mode  Frequently they have been edited in photoshop (but not always). I am unable to find an explanation in the normal C1 resources

    Do they have many layers, or alpha channel?

    Thanx for the prompt response

    The file that I am speaking has only a background layer  no alpha channels

    Color and Pixel sliders grey out when an Adjustment layer has been added in C1 and that layer is ticked and highlighted.

    So any layers added in C1?

    There is only a backgnd layer I took the file into photoshop Did save as to save as a PSD  still no change
