Can I recover a picture if all I still have is MyPicture.JPG.cop ?
I have lost my original file (can't find it on backups),
so my question is: Is it possible to recover a picture if I only have the MyPicture.JPG.cop left? Even the quality of a screenprint is OK for me.
[probably impossible since the key to retract and display the screen-image is the image directory itself; here a leftover fro having had sessions in the past].

.cop .com .cos .cot and .cof are all CO generated sidecar files that
are related by the file name to specific RAW files.
They only contain tweaks applied to files but can't replace them.0 -
Thanks. Too bad, the file was pretty large (2M2) so I thought . . .

Maybe you had a BU… didn't you?0 -
Yes but the storage on the NAS evolved also. I have SSD's for catalogue and HDD for images; backup with CCC and I have the copy on the NAS where even though I have the recovery mode on, I do not see deleted files - they should remain visible but it is on a root folder I can't access with finder.
I should have a look on a separate unmounted disk with a an older copy; thanks for the tip.

I haven't lost a file since eons.
It is due to the rigorous discipline I imposed myself so to get
lesser consequences from my natural clumsiness and chaos.
All the best. :P0
