adjusting image
I have made a photo of a surface. My strobe should have lighten it evenly (I didn't have a lightmeter at my disposal at the time). The lighting is not even over the entire flat surface. Is there a simple adjustment with a few clicks possible so the lighting at the selected points are made equal?
I do not know the right terms which makes it hard to search for earlier given solutions to this problem.

I don't think there is a good way in Capture One (others may know better)... I think this is a job for a pixel editor like Affinity Photo. You could play with masking and Luma Ranges in C1, then apply exposure and high dynamic range adjustments to try and even it up, but I suspect it will not look natural. If you manage to get somewhere close with masking and luma ranges then you could also try to use the Uniformity sliders under the Colour Editor (skin tone) tool to even it up.

Perhaps using a luminosity mask ?

Have you tried applying a gradient mask to the image, and lifting the exposure or brightness?

Also, if the surface you were lighting is meant to be of a uniform colour, you could try using the skin tone tool to increase the uniformity of the brightness of that colour.
