duplicating layers easily

hi, new to capture one after jumping the adobe ship. 

I'm not in love with the clunky and dated interface solutions but can swallow that, however I'm trying to figure out how to duplicate a layer, so that I can take the same adjustments and apply them in a different part of the image by using a different mask. 

I would have thought it would be such an obvious and basic functionality to provide, yet can't seem to find it fo the life of me.

Is it really the case that C1 doesn't allow something as basic as layer duplication?

Do I have to manually copy and reapply all the minutae settings to every new mask I make?

Seems unbelievable.
