Normally you just remove the older version with the Window's uninstaller.
What parts are you finding still there?

There is still the whole file folder of CaptureOne 12.

If I remove the Version 12 with the Window's unistaller, can I be shure that all the parts, which are also needed für Version 20 will be not removed?

If you still find the whole program directory (with it's file contents) of the former version on your disc you must have installed the new version into a different location (directory). The question is then what did you do? Did you really uninstall the prior version before or did you install the new version over the existing one (that happens if you accept the default paths of the C1 installer)?

Some personal C1 settings get stored in the users profile under C:\Benutzer\DeinName\AppData\Local\CaptureOne (guess you're on an German language version), like styles and workspaces. These can be reused for new installations.

    Thank's for your quick answer!

Yes, I didn't uninstall the old version and I installed the new version over the existing one, because I wanted to upgrade the programm and not to loose the all the user profiles including Catalogs... And you are right, the new version is under a different location.

    I can find C:\Benutzer\DeinName\AppData\Local\CaptureOne and a second: C:\Benutzer\DeinName\AppData\Local\Capture_One

What can I do now? Can I uninstall the old version with Window's uninstaller without deleting all the parts, which are also needed für Version 20?

Stephan, you're mixing things here. The program files get installed in C:\Programme (C:\Program Files), the path C:\Benutzer\DeinName contains the personal profile(s) under Windows, here all your personal program settings get stored.

Capture One uses both folders you've mentioned above for your customized settings and things like styles and both belong to the actual C1 installation. So C:\Benutzer\DeinName\AppData\Local\CaptureOne and C:\Benutzer\DeinName\AppData\Local\Capture_One will be used by v20 and you should keep both folders.

OK, this is clear now. But I still have two program directorys:

    C:\Program Files\Capture One\Capture One 20

    and the second:

    C:\Program Files\Phase One\Capture One 12

And about this is my question: Can I uninstall the old version with Window's uninstaller without deleting any parts, which are also needed für Version 20?

Can anybody answer my question (see upstairs): Can I uninstall the old version with Window's uninstaller without deleting any parts, which are also needed für Version 20?

Yes you can. The two versions are independent and either one can be uninstalled.
What about your catalogs and sessions? I assume they are safely outside any of the C1 program folders?
