What is the Settings folder for?
In the folders containing my referenced files there is a folder named "SettingsXX" where XX is the version of capture One that produced the folder. There are no such folders produced after version 11. All of the settings folders are empty - they contain no files. I do have one such Settings folder in a subfolder of my Pictures folder that contains over one hundred entries of files with the .cos suffix that correspond to image files.
I know Capture One creates such settings files with sessions, but I am using catalogs. It is possible that I created some sessions later imported into my catalogs, but my memory is spotty, here.
What was the purpose of the Settings folder and its contents that appear in some of the referenced file folders and why are they retained even though empty?
Do these folders serve any purpose and could they be removed?

It's a bug in Capture One 20 that I reported back in June. Support agreed that it was a bug and "have already filed a report with all the details for the R&D team". That was one or two updates ago. Guess they don't consider it an important bug.
Until the get around to fixing the bug I remove the empty folder after every import to a catalog.
