deleting files

I am very dyslexic and having trouble I need to talk to someone over the phone my hard rive is not letting me import files I have deleted all old catalogues but somehow nothing is freed up. Going crazy and have work to do can you help my phone 208 720 9368 I not will have to go back to lightroom or something else. I want my files to not clog into your system and stay where they are as well help
