Registration odd behavior

I recently upgraded to Capture One 14.2. The new registration process is much simpler. Now, if I start C1 and open any of my catalogs from the top menu bar in C1 (open or open recent), the catalog opens as expected. If I use finder to locate the catalog and click on it to open the catalog, C1 displays the old style registration page. I am concerned that if one were to re-register, it might use up one of my seats.

I checked to see if I was actually registered and the About window confirms I am already using a registered copy.

Also, I have 2 registered copies of C1 20 I probably need to de-register. Is it likely, the odd behavior is due to this.
