What's your C1 file structure?
Just jumped from a laptop to a new Mac so I want to take this opportunity to impose a rational structure on what goes where. I prefer Sessions to Catalogs and I'm a hobbyist so have no need for anything complex. Something simple and logical, like me, sometimes:-)
My thoughts atm are to create two folders in Pictures called 'Originals' and 'C1 Sessions', both would have year sub-folders within. New images would simply be copy and pasted from a memory card to the relevant Originals>year/month sub-folder. I'd then C1 Import selected images from there into the relevant C1 Sessions>year/subject folder. Subjects would be things like Granchildrens names, holiday destinations, events etc.
What have I missed, what do you do, why?

I've been using C1 for about 6 weeks now. The new speed edit keys in C1 21 are actually really useful. I can see why it's a superior editor to LR, but my biggest gripe against C1 is its lack of organizational features. LR just feels so much more intuitive and simple regarding culling and organizing, but I'm beginning to get used to C1's quirks. One thing that really bothered me is how photos weren't organized into folders by date automatically like they are in LR. I found that under the Library Tab, below Filter by stars or color tags, there's a hidden option for date. It's not exactly the same as LR, but it's close enough. Now I don't have to make smart albums for each individual date, only the month.
