Perhaps you should submit a request - see upper right of your screen.

    Ski,

I have never noticed this using the gradient masks.

I'm intrigued to see what you are seeing. Does it appear clearly on a screen grab?

See attached (but you'll have to look close to see the radial mask lines). What I'm asking about is for the masking boundary lines to have the same options for coloration as are available for the Guide lines. Thank you.

    Ah ha!

All of the image content acting as camouflage!

Are you using a very high resolution screen?

On my system (1920 x 1080 screen) the line widths and the selection points for dragging are significantly larger and therefore more easily seen than the lines and points in your screen shot.

However, zoom in and circles and control point remain at the same size which does indeed make them much more difficult to see.

I suspect that scaling would be of more benefit than colour since a very thin line is likely to be a problem no matter what colour it is.

I'm not aware of any options that provide for scaling of the lines and control points.

    Hi Ski ...

I suggest you hit the "m" key to overlay the default red layer mask on your image. Alternatively, you can select "Always Display Mask" or "Only Display Mask When Drawing" in Layers > Mask Visibility.

With the mask visibility on you'll be able to see where the mask is being applied and you should be able to see the guidelines better as well.

You can also customize the colour and opacity of the layer mask in Preferences > Appearance Tab ... at the bottom you should find the Mask Color option.

    Hope it helps. Cheers!

SFA, I use a 25” Dell Monitor with a resolution of 2560 X 1440. As I mentioned above, having the option to choose a different color for the masking lines, like already exists for choosing the color of the Grid lines, would be helpful. Thanks for your thoughts on this.

Cedric, thank you, too, for your thoughts on this. As I mentioned in my original post, I do know that showing the mask helps mitigate this issue for me. Still, having the ability to choose the mask boundary line color would be a welcome and useful option. it seems to me the option for a user to choose a different Guideline color was programmed into CO for the same reason as I think would be welcome for mask boundary lines.

Your suggestion to employ Mask Color option is a good one, too, and i will try that one also.

Thank you for your help. All the best.
