CR3 Files--Not Exporting

Hi,

I'm tethering a Canon R and capturing both JPEG and RAW files. I made all the adjustments on the CR3 file of the particular image. When I go to export the CR3 file, the adjustments (cleaning up the skin, etc) don't appear in the exported file. 

Why?
