Same problem here. A clear step backwards when it comes to quick editing at a sporting event, for example. Please fix it!

No effects on the trackpad, only effects on mouse: No scrolling

Hello, CO has decided to align with all the Mac apps out there, and Mac behavior, therefore from CO 22 pinching gesture will be for zooming in and out and 2 fingers gesture for panning/scrolling.

That's right, however - here is a workaround:

holding the option key will allow you to use the 2 fingers gesture for zooming in and out.

This is super uncomfortable. Why we cant choose this in the settings? Why we still have check box "Zoom with scroll wheel" in settings?

I'd definitely prefer at the old way or at least the option to keep it the old way. It's much more difficult to pinch and zoom than it is to scroll for quick zooming in and out. I understand wanting to keep it consistent with macOS, but the option should still be there for us to do it how we prefer.

Has Capture One addressed this? The change to my workflow slows things down. This has to be addressed in a firmware update. PLEASE!

It's so weird... I actually came searching for a workaround to stop zooming with the two-finger gesture and have it zoom only when pinching. It seems to go back and forth for me randomly, and I can;t, for the life of me, figure out why. Yesterday, I had to pinch to zoom, and today, I just have to swipe with two finger to zoom.

However, it is useful to know that while holding down the option key, I can pan with two fingers instead of zooming, but I would personally like it to be the default.

Please, please make an option to switch the zoom function between pad scroll and pinch. Pinching may be the convention on MacOS, but it's uncomfortable when you work with tons of images.

What can I do to get scrolling on the trackpad back in capture one 23?  I really dislike pinch to zoom.  I don't want to use Apple's software or their design decisions to edit my photos, I want to use yours, and that includes having sane user interface decisions that make sense for a photographer's workflow.

I'm also seeing behavior where the two finger gesture behavior seems to change at random.  I prefer to use it to pan, but sometimes it zooms.  It seems if one uses Option+two finger, it does seem to do the opposite behavior.  But I'd really just prefer that it be consistent.  Or if there's some random key press that I'm inadvertently activating to switch the behavior, it would be nice to know it so I don't do it.

I came here looking for a fix or toggle to stop this automatic zoom when all I want to do is pan. I had hoped that a fix will eventually be on the horizon however this issue seems to have been going on for 7+ years. Not holding out much hope.

In the app prefs there is a checkbox for scroll to zoom. Uncheck it and see if that fixes it.
