Progress bar integrated into toolbar instead as a floating window

Hi, is there a way to integrate the activity monitor into the toolbar instead of having it floating around? I would like to have a visual feedback of the process, but in a more subtle way, not being in the way of the editing process? There is plenty of space in my toolbar...
