Insufficient Grid Viewer Image Resolution

This has bugging me since version 20. Grid Viewer resolution is so super low res and insufficient for selecting critical detail, such as facial expressions and sharpness. as i know this has nothing to do with selected preview size set under preferences. i just want better resolution in my thumbnails so I can pick out photos faster =)))

YES I KNOW THIS IS A USER FORUM, and i am thankful if anyone will please help me out with their expertise. please, anybody has a hint for me?

while i think that c1 has a lot to offer in terms of color reproduction and skin tone especially, i think they should rather stop making apple IPAD versions and instead fix their desktop software.

  One of the things you can use in grid view is the Loupe tool, so you could use that to check sharpness without leaving grid view.
