Lost all previous edits after installing Capture 22 pro

I installed the upgrade ( 22 pro ) today and all the edits have been lost pre upgrade. I spent a hours in the last few months sorting deleting and enhancing images for hundreds of photos and it has all been lost. The images are there on the external hard disk but all work done to them have not been updated .
