Import a CP1 Catalog into a CP1 Mastercatalog

When  importing a CP1 Catalog in a CP1 Mastercatalog all the key words are also imported.

How replace the keywords of the imported Catalog with the keywords of the Mastercatalog. Can I delete the old Catalog file after the importing process without any negativ surprises?

    an automatic merge keywords option on import would be great.
