Brush curser dissappears

Good morning,

This issue has been existing since 2020, occasionally the brush tool will change to the standard curser and cannot be adjusted back, this means when drawing brush strokes you cannot see the size of your brush. 

There have been multiple issues mentioned on this for the longest while and despite various updates this bug still isn't being fixed. 

Has anyone worked out what is going on here?
