Session, album imports
I'm trying to import just a few images into a new album and tried creating a new session but it imports all my 3700 images from previous sessions and is building 5000 plus previews over next 23 hrs? I'm sure I'm doing something fundamentally wrong? Any help more than welcome. Cheers

If you are working in a Catalog, you can add images to a new album by
- clicking the + sign and choosing new Album - give it a suitable name
- dragging and dropping the images you want into it. (This doesn't create new copies of the image file - it is just a virtual collection.)
You could just work on this images in the album. But if you want to have them in a separate catalog, you can right click on the album you created and choose Export Collection as Catalog...
Is that the kind of thing you are trying to do?
Alternatively, if you want to make a new Session with those images, you can go to the Album created above, select all the images in it, then go to the File menu and choose Export>Export Original Files... You choose a location for them to go to, select to include existing adjustments if you want to, and to pack as .EIP if you want to. You could then create a new session and add the folder as a session favourite.
If some of this isn't clear, say a bit more about what it is you want to achieve.
