card import issues
I rarely import from my cf card, but have been recently just for my kids sports... although card is reformatted at beginning of each shoot, when I go to import there will be a bunch of prior images from last sporting event that show up in the import. when I say I want to delete them, so as not to import them again, they are actually deleted from my hard drive. and the old sessions (now hold the current import), along with the new session (that holds the current import). what the heck am I doing wrong?! Thank god this hasn't happened with client images.

Not formatting your card in the camera? I know you say you're reformatting your card, but not where you're doing it.
In any event - whatever's going on is upstream of Capture One's involvement, and not a Capture One problem.

Not seeing exactly what you're doing, all I can offer is a workflow suggestion.
First, I always reformat the card (in the camera; never in the computer) after I've saved its images to at least 2 locations. That way I always start with a clean card and know that whatever C1 shows on that card is from the current shoot.
Then be sure you've set the Import destination to wherever you want on your computer, select which images you want to import, and have C1 import. It sounds like when you're telling C1 to delete the images, you're looking at your import destination, so the on-disk images will be deleted (either only from the session or from your drive). I only use a catalog, so I'm not sure whether sessions also have a Trash folder (which I find minimally useful in practice because "untrashing" items doesn't restore them to their rightful place in the catalog.db).
You might also want to sign up for Thursday's webinar, "Make your importing even more efficient" at the C1 website.
