Zooming in and out in live view

hey there, i can't use the zoom option in live view, when i drag the bar of the zoom option on the top right, it drags the whole window, and when i use the zoom icon from the tool bar and press on the screen it also does not zoom in or out, this issue occurred on my macbook, i used to have a windows laptop and the zoom option was working efficiently.
i updated the software and the issue is still there
