    I Have also exactly the same issue :

    No way to open existing catalog/session or create a new one.

    just a message (translated from french) : unknow error has happened at database reading !

    Bruno, thanks for the link.

    I read it, BUT - moving the software to a new build should not lead to this kind of manipulation. Otherwise, the respected company should have attached a manual that there is such an error, that it will not be solved and that it should be bypassed with the following instructions. BUT - there is no manual/instruction. This is a bug, it must be fixed!

    C1 support has acknowledged this bug (at least in my case):
    "This issue will be fixed in the next service release.
    Until then, make sure that you rename any custom Aspect Ratios
    that are named the same as the built-in ones, like 1x2. "

    Custom ratios are stored here:
    C:\Users\"Owner"\AppData\Local\CaptureOne\Presets60\CropRatios

    Don't confuse the CropRatios folder with the Crop Ratios folder.

    I just deleted the custom ratios I had in CropRatios and C1 was working again..
