Capture One 22 15.3.0 Activation/Registration
[Copying text from a Support Request filed last week. No real response/resolution as of yet. Can anyone advise?]
Install from CaptureOne22.Win.15.3.0.exe on Windows 10 Pro 21H2 (fully updated). After the (apparently successful) install and launching the program, a splash screen appears (Capture One ... Show the World ... Let's get started ... (c) Andrew Ling). Clicking on the 'Let's get started' button brings up a browser and starts navigation to 'https://id.captureone.com/...' which, after entering my credentials, then redirects to a 'https://localhost:50919/...' address. (I notice that the port varies on the localhost request). Is this expected? Why is the activation process trying to reach a page on my local machine?!
This page fails with:
The connection for this site is not secure
localhost sent an invalid response.
Try running Windows Network Diagnostics.

and I am dead in the water since I can't progress beyond this point. I tried downgrading to CaptureOne22.Win.15.2.2 and have the same issue. The last working version was 15.0.1 which doesn't appear the be available for download any longer.
I have verified with netstat that nothing is listening on my local machine at the indicated port[s] and that CaptureOne.exe can get through the firewall.
I have seen nothing like these symptoms in all of the KB articles that I've come across.
Any information gratefully received.

I have found a resolution to my problem and leave this update in hopes that anyone else who is seeing a similar issue may benefit as there appears to be no documentation anywhere (that I've found) that addresses this issue.
As mentioned above, as part of the activation process, a request is made to one's local machine after logging in at 'https://id.captureone.com/...' Using in-browser debugging I noticed that there are actually two localhost requests: First, to a HTTP URL and then second, a redirect to a HTTPS URL. For some reason, my default browser at the time, MS Edge, was not able to negotiate this redirect. After many dead-ends, and on a whim, I changed the default browser to Chrome, tried the whole process again, and was surprised and relieved when Chrome was able to negotiate this particular step and I was finally able to use the software after a successful activation.
Hopefully this info can help someone else.

I noticed the same thing with Firefox and Edge and curiously, I resolved it just by signing-in at first in the web capture one portal and leaving the web browser opened it could communicate with CaptureOne app to update license and so on. No way to install Chrome or other complicated manipulation but it's true that Captureone should review this for a better understanding and more easy process !
