Cannot import Nikon Z9 RAW files!
Hi there,
I just bought this software after getting tired of Adobe just dropping the ball with their support.
I try to import finles on my hard drive that i copied from my Z9.
Click the "Import" top left
(Import Dialog opens)
"Import from" i selected "Choose" and selected the folder containing the RAW files
Click "Review for Import"
brings me back to Import Dialog and there is nothing in the viewer.
Tried to go back and select all the pictures (even tried just selecting 1 pic) and clicked "Review for Import" and... "NOTHING"!
What gives?
What good is a software that does not do like it is supposed to do and even in the version i have (most recent, Biuild 15.3.1.17) it shows in the documents that it supports the RAW files from the Nikon Z9...
Don't make me ask pho my monies back! ;) LOL
Help please?
Thanks in advance, hope you all are blessed and doing well, Peace to all of you!

I guess you refer to this document https://support.captureone.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002718118-Camera-models-and-RAW-files-support-in-Capture-One-#h_190badd1-0bbf-443f-b366-b86227c6e5ce and that you did read and understand the disclaimer for Z9 files in the right hand column.
You should be able to find a plethora of tutorials and videos that demonstrates how to import.

There is an explanation of why Z9 Lossy compressed and High-Efficiency RAW files are currently unsupported, in the course of a thorough review of the Z9 on the Photography Life website. I'm not sure whether I'm allowed to link to an external site like that, but here is the relevant bit of the article.
That said, at the moment, the biggest difference between these three RAW options isn’t image quality at all – it’s post-processing support. Very few software options right now (even as of August 2022) support Nikon’s high efficiency / high efficiency star files. Only software from Adobe and Nikon can support these files at the moment. If you use other RAW processing software, you need to use Adobe’s DNG converter or export the image as a TIFF in order to edit it elsewhere, which can negate the file size advantage of High Efficiency RAW.
Luckily, all this is slated to change later in 2022 when IntoPIX (which has the patent for the Nikon Z9’s TicoRAW high efficiency compression algorithm) releases a TicoRAW software development kit for Apple’s M-series processors. When this development kit is released, it’s not just Apple users who will benefit. Software developers like Capture One, Topaz, DxO, and others are waiting on the development kit before they put the resources into supporting the Z9’s high efficiency files for all users, regardless of their operating system.
So, the support will exist – probably before the end of the year with most photo editing software – but it’s not yet there for everyone.

Seriously? You paid without testing first, and think you're still entitled to a refund?

Why was my post linking to this completely on-topic, relevant and helpful link, not accepted - but actual spam posts continue to proliferate?

(And of course, predictably, it goes through this time without issue. Come on Capture One, at least try to make this forum worth the effort of visiting...)

Come on Keith R, you have been around long enough to know that you do not talk to Capture One here. Submit a request containing your text if you want them to read it.
That said, the blocking auto-moderator needs serious attention from Capture One's forum admin. Actually, the whole forum does.
