stopped responding - restarted - lost all my edits!

Was halfway through a photograph

Applied about 5 or 6 layers

Suddenly stopped responding

Restarted

I got this error:

Very frustrating! I'd already spent a good 90 minutes adjusting the image

I cannot start over

Can I salvage the edits somehow ?
